Owner/Director

I am the proud owner and director of Little Wisp preschools in Eastleigh, Hampshire. The preschool started with one small setting in Chandlers Ford that has grown in four years to our amazing settings across Eastleigh and Bishopstoke. I am passionate about childcare and Early years training to a Level 5 as well as having a first-class honours degree in Bachelor of Arts. I am a mum of three amazing unique children, one of whom has autism. I believe in children being treated by staff with respect, love and outstanding care and partnerships with all families. Your children are treated as if they were our own and everybody who works, plays and is part of Little Wisp preschools is part of the Little Wisp family. The success of Little Wisp is through the hard work, commitment and passion from the managers and staff of each setting. We look forward to welcoming every family to our unique settings and pride ourselves on our compassion and love for what we do.

I have worked in early years for 16 years, originally in a nursery setting but when I became a mum of 4 I switched to a pre school setting to fit around school hours. I have completed a senco level 3 award which I’m very proud of and feel very passionate about having an all inclusive setting. We have recently opened a toddler room which has gone so well and i’m really pleased how its taken off, we aim to have a home from home environment so our babies feel safe and secure and working closely with parents is paramount.

I am qualified to Level 3 and also have a degree in Childhood Studies from The University of Winchester. I am loving my new challenge at Hedge End, getting to know the area and all our lovely families. I am passionate about making sure all children have the opportunity to enjoy their early years in a nurturing environment. I love being outdoors and exploring the natural environment with the children. When I’m not working I enjoy walking my dogs and spending time with my family.

Gemma-Rae Hall

Gemma-Rae Hall

Manager at Little Wisp Bishopstoke Preschool

I have worked in early years for 11 years, what started as a job to fit around my 2 young daughters soon grew into a passion for providing care and education. I am very proud of our setting and feel very lucky to spend every day doing something I love with a great team of staff. Our setting offers a family feel, with many of the staffs children having attended and many families returning to us over the years with younger siblings. We have close ties to the community, often going for walks to the woods or to feed the ducks, taking part in Bishopstoke carnival and performing our nativity at St Mary’s Church, which is situated opposite our building. We have a large hall that gives us room to offer many activities to help the children explore and learn and we also have a lovely enclosed garden with mud kitchen too. We play outside no matter what the weather so welly boots are a must.
